Malay food is generally divided into 2 main region:

Malaysian Malay’s cooking uses spices influenced by Indian and Middle Eastern cuisine. The characteristics of the Malay’s cuisine is both spicy and a little sweet. Malaysian Malay cuisine’s main ingredients include:

  • Coconut milk – stews and curries tend to be sweet and creamy.
  • Belacan – a fermented prawn paste in chilli condiments and sauces.
  • Herbs such as curry and kaffir-lime leaves.

 

Popular Malaysian Malay dishes are:

  • Satay – barbecue sliced chicken, beef or mutton meat cube on bamboo skewer.
  • Nasi Lemak – Rice cooked in coconut milk.
  • Rendang Curry – Meat (beef, mutton or chicken) marinated with galingale and a variety of herbs and spices slow-cooked in coconut milk till dry.

 

Indonesian Malay cuisine and Malaysian Malay cuisine have much in common. Indonesian Malay has a diversity of cuisine and is varies greatly by region.

  • Sumatran cuisine – Features curried meat and vegetables such as gulai and kari that were influenced by Middle Eastern and Indian.
  • Javanese cuisine – with some hint of Chinese influence is mostly indigenous.
  • Eastern cuisine – similar to Polynesian and Melanesian cuisine.

We have a range of packages to offer. Other than catering, we also provide:

 

Question – Can you provide Air-cooler at the Pelamin?

Yes, we offer Air-cooler rental and we understand that the bride and bridegroom needs to stay cool for their big day.

 

Question – I want classy glassware, luxe centre pieces and a marquee tent. Can you provide?

We would be happy to provide for your needs. Other than the marquee tent, we also provide décor and portable toilets for the convenience of both you and your guests.

 

Question – I am expecting my guests to stream in from noon till evenings, thus, can your collection be done in the late evening?

We do collection in the evening. However, owing to NEA’s regulations, all food must be consumed within 4 hours from the time of preparation. Thus, we cannot leave the food for extended hours. We propose you order 2 sets with different delivery schedule.
